With the sharing economy, the process of ordering food & goods from a website or app and having them home-delivered has increased in number and replaced the phone order. Online marketplaces for ordering and delivery (delivery startups) started to grow, and use on-call workers driving their own vehicles (rather than employees driving company vehicles) to make deliveries of groceries, food, and general retail items to their customers.
